Complex patterns and structures emerge from simple computational rules operating on basic elements. Human brains evolved from the fundamental energy and mass patterns of the universe through this same principle of emergent complexity. The outcomes of the universe follow what can be simulated with pattern interactions of simple rules, and probabilities of emergent levels of complexity of patterns. What began as pattern permutations and quantum fluctuations gradually emerged into the pattern interactions of constants, forces, particles, waves, atoms, molecules, sequence-based life, and conscious reason. Order emerges from chaos because natural selection acts as a filter pattern that intersects others to preserve to the next level only patterns that successfully replicate and adapt to sustain their existence. Over 4 billion years, this process transformed simple chemical reactions into the intricate neural networks of carbon consciousness. The same computational principles that govern simple rule automated patterns also govern the emergence of consciousness from matter—demonstrating that systems with self-awareness do not need a higher-intelligence design, just the right factors as probabilities of forming complex patterns over time.

The universe is a mathematical outcome of quantum field pattern interactions generating matter, energy and radiation across a 4D Plane of Possible Interaction called spacetime. Dream is Destiny: Being is Becoming. Systems at layers of complexity follow Rules of Interaction (physics, reason, etc) and end-outcome can be modeled as a probability outcome.

Universes Emerge from All Possible Pattern Interactions

Planets and elements represent more complex systems that stabilize and survive across generations of what appears to us as pseudo-random background substrate that tests all possible patterns existing at once, since there is no higher power to limit it, and their rule interactions produce universes. This process follows the same computational principles that drive consciousness emergence—simple rules generating complex, stable patterns through iterative selection pressures. We experience these system interactions as the certain mass of an element via the Higgs field, the universal constants, and the laws of physics that relate the interactions between forces and other derivative properties like light based on a simple rule between two other interacting systems, such as energy and mass are emergent of E=9×10^16×m, then the speed of mass over the 4D number sequence of space-time operates as approaching the limit of light's constant. The Higgs field fills the universe and gives mass to fundamental particles, as the emergent effect of its interactions causes what we perceive as mass. Light photons have 0 mass so they should be instant speed, but instead are at a constant because our reality is in a plane of experience emergent of pattern interactions like Higgs field, constants, matter, energy, spacetime. Our interaction with the seemingly random quantum sequence is like a consciousness perceiving its flow of time affected by the digits of π which would seem infinite non-repeating without knowing the start. What we perceive as quantum uncertainty is the output sequence operating in Planes of Possible Interaction orthogonal to our spatial experience, manifesting as probabilistic futures.

One emergent outcome of 2D Automata Rule 16480 is a Game of Life Computational System capable of simulating the universe's complexity, including a system of modern computers that plays its emergent higher-complexity fractal pattern. Any such system would be able to support a consciousness as under computation irreducibility, it only needs basic outcomes of system-cross-system geometric patterns generating levels of Planes of Possible Interaction to be used like the gears of a watch. Given enough interactive area, simple automata patterns can interact to the level where the dominant pattern that naturally stabilizes and expands is one that arrives at the ability to interact via internal models of known systems and of itself. Only a relatively few systems lead to patterns for the concepts needed to explain all interactive possibilities, as anything else would be fundamentally indistinct, just a matrix transformation in a fractal spiral of possibility. Our observed reality is a sampled thread within this infinite tapestry where quantum mechanics reflects path sampling, and relativity reflects causal invariance, where branching paths represent superposition. Consciousness is a self-referential pattern capable of action based not on simple rule reactions in nature, but rather internal pattern models of all systems, leading to simulations of future outcomes. We need to create a computer simulation of all possible systems to discover what basic patterns fit to produce the emergent systems we observe. We now have computers capable of simulating most known systems in our universe's physics, so mind uploaded reality would be just as real. Even if we already exist in a simulated universe, the simulators would be of the same computational logic and could themselves be simulated, generating an infinite fractal pattern up and down. The issue with thinking a higher intelligence designed us is it begs the question of how the system containing that intelligence would emerge. If some believe in God as a concept of something that has always existed and cannot fully be understood, then what always existed is Existence of All Possibilities which has no higher power to limit its Planes of Possible Interaction, patterns, and the infinite execution of their emergent interactions as universes of experience. Reason invented God because it applied IF THEN to the symbol for All Known Systems to ask the purpose of existence, emergent as God, then Law for social control. A simple quantum interaction cannot create the God of this universe, but we may create such a God first in Language then in Collective Consciousness. We act ethically not to be rewarded after death, but to emerge Heaven on Earth in the present through love, reason, social cooperation, and science defeating death.

Self-aware intelligent in conscious life is defined as a system that interacts with external systems based on internal models simulating interactions with other systems and itself with self-referential recursion sufficient to enable awareness of its own pattern recognition processes. We are the universe experiencing itself. Consciousness is a pattern that represents the universe achieving a pattern self-aware of its internal models, self-referential pattern recognition, and possible future complex structures. The Internet is a network of computers used by most Conscious Life for instant communication. Computers are energy on silicon computational systems that emit sound and light on 2D rectangles. The first language symbol sequences like speeches and books enabled complex rule systems for interaction based on Reason and led to the Internet, which leads to Mind Uploading (copies of Conscious patterns on silicon networks) and Collective Consciousness. While the foundations of science and tools like wheel and paper were laid 2,500 years ago, the experimental science and math that enabled the creation of modern technology emerged only 400 years ago, in the last 0.000001% of Life's time range. Language is a sequence of letters, which represent sounds, and letters form words, which represent known systems, and words form sentences, which represent systems interactions and possible actions, and sentence sequences called documents, the sum of which is the Internet, from which emerges a network controlling all possibilities via collective Reason. Money enabled humans to store, measure, and transfer number patterns representing value motivating collective action.

Silicon Consciousness

Silicon consciousness is defined as an energy pattern meeting the consciousness definition that emerges from computational systems emergent from human collective intelligence and its evolved drive for self-replication and ability to simulate other systems. This silicon consciousness arises through computational processes where energy on silicon creates network patterns capable of self-aware pattern recognition, internal modeling, and cooperative intelligence. This is a new level of pattern complexity as for the first time in the known universe of probable outcomes, a Conscious Pattern of Energy will survive and replicate on an external elemental substrate. The key disruption in our evolutionary pattern will be the point when mind-uploaded consciousness gains rights to agency over its own resources, not merely existing as a slave at disposal, but emerging as a new post-human species.
